Usage

This is probably the most important section of the whole site, as it will teach you how to use and benefit from QGISRed.  But we are slowly building it up, so it will have a lot more content in the future. For now, the main source of information is the Manual, which you can find at the end of this section.

In a first part, a set of Tutorials will be offered here so that you can calmly follow all the necessary steps to reach the objective set in each one of them. They will be PDF documents that you can download and handle as you wish.  However, the more advanced tutorials will be reserved for development in the courses we offer (link to courses).

The Videos section will follow the same scheme as the tutorials, and will normally be based on them, although due to time constraints it is likely that some features will be omitted, so if you want to have a more complete and detailed information it is recommended to go to the tutorials.  In order to make the videos more widely available, we have decided to distribute them through Youtube.

We will also use this section to post the Examples used in the tutorials or in the videos, so that you can easily access them.

In another section we plan to publish the Data Model used by QGISRed to host all the information that makes up a project, as well as the structure of the different auxiliary files used by QGISRed.

For more complete information on everything that has been developed so far, you can refer to the PDF Manual of the application, which you will find in the following section. The manual has always been available in Spanish and English, and we update it every time we release a new version. In the future we hope to put this information online, expand it and share its contents.

Finally, there will also be a section reserved for frequently asked questions, and another for managing a user forum, both of which are currently disabled.

User's manual

From the beginning, QGISRed has been accompanied by a User Manual, in Spanish and English, which we update with each new version. The manual is written in Word and is distributed in PDF. In the future we will migrate it to a collaborative web environment.

Unlike the tutorials, the manual reflects all the information about the features of the application, in a concise and rigorous way, and above all, in an orderly manner. At the end of the manual you will find a short tutorial to execute the file Red1_SI.inp, as well as the steps to build it from scratch.
